PARTNERS IN OPTIMIZING YOUR REVENUE CYCLE
Financial Data Systems will help to analyze your current revenue cycle and dedicate resources to improve revenue capture and collection. Over the past several years it has become increasingly challenging to manage the revenue cycle. Operating margins continue to shrink, making it more difficult to add additional staff or technology resources to assist with optimizing your accounts receivable.
We are proud at Financial Data Systems to have expanded our traditional collection and EBO services to now include revenue cycle management services to our valued clients. It is our goal to provide the following and enhance the services of your existing team:
•Work cohesively with your organization’s existing multi-disciplinary teams with minimal impact on your daily operations
• Seamless transition to work with existing Department of Social
• Services staff as a team to improve Medicaid applications for patients who may be eligible
• Services are provided at no cost to the organization until patient has been approved
• Value added service as a patient will be evaluated for applicable charity care, based on facilities policies and procedures regarding indigent care.
• Establish baseline measurements of a provider’s financial and revenue cycle performance and create applicable indices and benchmarks
• Provide assistance with the development of policies and procedures to monitor productivity and establish best practices based on industry standards
At Financial Data Systems we are now working with clients to assist with the following areas:
• Medicaid Eligibility
• Worker’s Compensation/Liability Claims
• Denials Management
• Section 1011 (undocumented aliens) Claims
• Denials Management
• EBO and EBO Plus Programs
• Conversion Clean-up and Project Management
MEDICAID ELIGILIBITY
• Review self-pay patient population for Medicaid eligibility
• Identify appropriate Emergency Room patients for potential Section 1011 eligibility and assist with claims filing
• Utilize patient eligibility financial worksheet to determine eligibility
• Work cohesively with your organization’s existing Department of Social Services staff
• Value added service as patients will be reviewed for other applicable programs, including charity care based on your facilities policies and procedures regarding indigent care.
DENIALS MANAGEMENT
• Review insurance denials for appropriateness
• Generally will review claims up to one year old
• Identify trends for process improvement at no cost
• Resubmit claims for payment when a denial has been overturned
WORKER'S COMPENSATION AND LIABILITY PROGRAM
• Historically slow payers
• Labor intensive usually requires medical records, explanation of benefits, extensive contact with attorneys and their office staff
• Work directly with Worker’s Compensation providers to expedite the claims process
• Identify up-front from employers if this is a Worker’s Compensation Claim
Each of these programs offers significant advantages to your existing A/R staff. It allows them to focus on current claims to minimize your days in accounts receivable. Our focus is geared toward assistance with payers that are traditionally labor intensive, requiring an extended time to adjudicate claims. Each program is based on a contingency fee with no cost to the facility unless revenue is received.
